Pros

GEOS Management survey - keeps the managers respectful (before GEOS they would railroad - no work-life balance) Great benefits - very typical of extremely large companies (80,000 employees worldwide) Lots of fun activities at work The higher you go the more bonus and stock options - generous bonus and stock options Promotions used to be challenging but now there are many layers so it feels like you are moving up (but actually you are not)! Stable company

Cons

Very bureaucratic Lots of layers - middle management is very mediocre - No decisions get made! Work in silos Jobs are super specialized, can get very boring after a while - so people, who can, move around a lot Your experience will be very dependent on the type of manager you get - hopefully GEOS will fix that

Pros

The work is meaningful and overall the company vision aligns with my goals

Cons

QA management has become inept. None of the leadership (aside from maybe one or two) truly understand the nuances of our site and jobs. They refuse to pay you more due to "budget" reasons but won't provide much information, they claim to be transparent but will make decisions behind your back and not communicate them, even if they impact you and/or your job. Leadership doesn't listen to feedback and gets defensive if you even try to give any. It honestly has become a game of politics only in QA and that's not really building any real quality culture.
