Pros
Extremely well run global company with a clear vision of how events around the world will impact the business. A solid team environment where one can be expected to be stretched in order to reach the company goals. Strong history of innovation; long string of firsts with respect to new technology inventions and/or technology commercialisation. Without exception everyone in management respects their team members and works to find a work-life balance in a demanding environment. Given an opportunity I would gladly return to work for GE.
Cons
Often times the business will not fund a new development effort until a competitor is perceived to have reached a break-through technology. Very difficult to move from one business unit to another without putting yourself in harm's way.
