Pros

The company is big and stable. It is constantly hiring. The job security is a definite plus. People are nice. Good fit for family people who are not looking for a lot of workplace excitement. Work environment is not stressful. Benefits are standard. Pay is good if you factor the stock options.

Cons

The work is very cut and dry. It is basically more of video product documentation than creative. A lot of video capping, voice overs, explaining and demoing how software features work. There is no camera work involved. The company is not a lot of fun either. There is no X-mas party. Not flexible with working from home. Even though a lot of work can be done from home. Vacation is 3 weeks including sick days. Changes to 4 weeks after 1st year. No budget to take courses or improve skills besides the product training

Pros

Solid, stable, predictable. Most people are out of the office by 4 or 5 pm. Life is easy and expectations are low.

Cons

Little support for marketing. Fortinet has too many products and too many product lines - and every product owner is fighting for attention of sales. The company is firmly wedded to it's hardware roots. Fortinet has not invested in internal systems. Reporting is awkard and cumbersome, and adaption on enterprise AI is still a long ways off. There are no women in senior roles.
