Pros

Before they were purchased, the company had very good benefits and offered a variety of flexible working arrangements. The benefits of the new company are substantially less. It remains to be seen how generous FIS will be on flexible work options.

Cons

Low pay. Very depressed work-force post merger. Lack of career growth potential. Benefits are horrible with the new company. Very little information is being communicated to the employees regarding the merger.

Pros

Most colleagues are well intentioned, but stretched beyond the max.

Cons

After filing for FMLA, my “leader” encouraged me not to involve HR in the future. The whole point of FMLA is job protection. Him making this suggestion, at best, seems highly unethical and potentially illegal. Some leaders are good with people. Others are more techno sound. The ones that can effectively do both are let go. It makes no sense and the company offers little transparency.
