Pros

Company has good benefits and rewards employees with additional vacation time for number of years of service. Direct managers work and relate well to employees. Communication between divisions is improving.

Cons

Merger with FIS will leave many employees without a job. Questions regarding benefits with the newly formed company are not being answered so many employees are worried about what type of organization is being formed. Employees are finding out how the deal with FIS was made and many feel as though they were mislead by upper management. The executive team is receiving a very nice severance package while employees don't know what to expect.

Pros

Most colleagues are well intentioned, but stretched beyond the max.

Cons

After filing for FMLA, my “leader” encouraged me not to involve HR in the future. The whole point of FMLA is job protection. Him making this suggestion, at best, seems highly unethical and potentially illegal. Some leaders are good with people. Others are more techno sound. The ones that can effectively do both are let go. It makes no sense and the company offers little transparency.
