Pros
Time off and being able to get to an appointment with a doctor for example has been flexible.
Cons
Expectations of your time has been very steep. Accountability lines are very thin. Knowledge transfer is non-existent. Processes are not documented. Practices like SDLC are not followed. As an employee, you tend to get pigeonholed.
