Pros

Top-caliber co-workers and very interesting opportunities. Compensation is fair and (until recently) my job felt extremely secure, as long as I performed satisfactorily.

Cons

ExxonMobil has never been a leader in the areas of work culture and more “progressive” benefits (work/life balance, soft benefits, etc), but they made up for it with the comfort of long term job security. With last year’s layoffs, this comfort has been damaged, and the company now has some catching up to do in the areas of benefits and day-to-day employee satisfaction if it wants to continue to attract and retain the highest caliber employees, as it has in the past.

Pros

Good benefits, you learn a lot from highly experienced people.

Cons

Very bureaucratic and process driven which makes it difficult to adjust in a fast paced environment.

Pros

Good pay and a pension

Cons

Everything else. Benefits are lackluster, Flex Your Day policies are elusive. The company changes everything all the time so that a large portion of your time is spent finding new links to things on the portal, figuring out who to contact in various departments and in what country just to get a simple answer to a question. No one stays in the same role long enough to get good at their job. Morale is terrible.
