Pros

Equifax offers a dynamic, cutting-edge tech environment that fosters significant professional growth, allowing employees to successfully transition across versatile roles like Development and QA while implementing impactful production solutions. The company genuinely embraces internal community and employee well-being, providing space for team members to champion psychosocial initiatives and even integrate personal passions, like music and DJing, into the workplace culture. Most importantly, it features a highly capable, diverse talent pool where you can learn invaluable lessons in discipline, methodical work, structured coding, and charismatic team collaboration.

Cons

On the other hand, the fast-paced nature of major client migrations can result in tight timelines and intense periods of overtime, which can delay well-deserved time off. Additionally, navigating occasional project delays and inconsistent management styles requires a strong sense of resilience and personal boundaries to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Pros

My direct manager. Comp plan if you’re lucky enough to find several whale clients, and if you’re lucky, the commission is approved.

Cons

There are a lot. First, office politics. Equifax expects employees to be very corporate and robotic. Metrics metrics metrics. 100% focused on revenue, not customers. Metrics, metrics, metrics. PIP overuse. Even when you’re 150% to yearly plan 6mo in, they expect 300%. Make sure to keep receipts. Senior management will find the most ridiculous ways to push reps out, continently right before a huge payout of a very delayed commission plan. (Sell something in Jan 2025, you will only get a fraction of commission until June 26). That’s if the exception committee approves payout (which never happens). If you sell a big deal, don’t expect to get paid 100% of what the plan says.
