Pros
The overall compensation and rewards are good (nothing extraordinary though... Medical, Dental and Vision, 401k, performance bonus, etc), pay ranges are competitive yet not the best in class.
Cons
The work culture is unhealthy. It's usual to find employees forced to chose pressing work deliveries or extenuating work schedules over their familiy and personal priorities. Long-tenured employees are used to it and have somehow survived, however they justify it for the sake of building career opportunities within the organization. The organizational structure and leadership model is very unclear and confusing. Usually you don't have one manager to report to. Although you may be part of one team, you report to different managers for different things, which leads to losing the sense of belonging and identity. It also makes unclear the escalation paths. Job titles are usually overstated and don't necessarily reflect the actual hierarchy and authority. It is very usual to find Managers, Senior Managers, and even Directors and Managing Directors, without direct reports and without teams and departments to manage. Job titles are usually given as a form of recognition that doesn't represent the actual position in the organization. Overall, it is not a good place to work for professionals and leaders with experience in other companies, since the culture and customs are very different, even toxic and unhealthy for some. It may be a good fit for very young people without a referent to other business cultures.
