Pros

Juice bar, summer Fridays, fellow employees (non-management). TriBeCa Great name in American jewelry. Lots of things to do in the area. Started out being fun and ended up being a sad disappointment The yurmans are super creative amazing designers. Too bad the management is blind to the super low morale that infuses the staff working for them

Cons

Company culture - upper management doesn't seem to know or care that their staff is completely overworked and most are planning to quit. There is no investment in the staff - they get treated like replaceable worker bees. Competence is not valued - politics are. The same incompetent managers that get promoted one month get layed off the next. Other Incompetent managers stay on board because they are "loyal" to their bosses - not because they are good at their jobs. When something goes wrong - it's time to point fingers - "who can we blame this on?" Not "how do we fix this?" Good people keep leaving .More good people will leave shortly If you decide to apply and work for this company, beware: what you applied for and what you get hired for might be completely different things. ASK VERY DETAILED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE POSITION and your day to day activities will be I know people who have had 3 different bosses in 2 years. Have had 3 different jobs in less than 3 years. Super disorganized 3 CEOs in 3 years. Huge turnover - just ask whoever interviews you. also, the raises are super low- so make sure you get as high a salary as possible when you get in - it won't be going up by much anytime soon

Pros

Company really supports their employees. Next level platforms have built relationships and KPI’s in an effort to grow the brand and reach more engagement.

Cons

Nothing to specify as the company has grown and evolved.

Pros

Working at David Yurman was a great experience overall. The pay structure and commission potential are very strong, especially for those who are motivated and good at building client relationships. The jewelry itself is good quality, which makes it easier to sell with confidence, and there is opportunity to make great money, top performing ambassadors are easily earning $110k+ annually.

Cons

While there is strong earning potential at David Yurman, the work environment can be challenging depending on the store and management. At the location I worked at, there was a high level of micromanagement and constant pressure to meet individual monthly sales quotas, even when the store was already meeting or exceeding its overall goals. This created unnecessary stress and took away from what could have been a more collaborative team environment. Because individual performance is heavily emphasized, it can also lead to a more competitive or “shark-like” atmosphere, where sales interactions feel tense as everyone is focused on hitting their numbers. Management styles were consistent, but expectations were extremely high, which can negatively impact morale and work life balance especially during peak seasons. There is also limited flexibility and, in some cases, unclear paths for advancement. While the brand and compensation structure are strong, the day to day experience can feel intense and overly performance driven, making it a difficult long term fit for some employees.
