Pros

There used to be good reasons to work for Citibank but I honestly can't think of one right now. The benefits are good I suppose. Women are granted 100% paid 13 week maternity leave. They have come up with this new comp plan called "Citimax" which is designed to pay people less. Of course, senior management sings its praises.

Cons

Micromanagement, micromanagement, micromanagement. Endless firedrills, emails, stupid and ridiculous micromanaged deliverables. It's driving me insane!!!!!! I got screwed out of five grand because management RETROACTIVELY altered the comp plan. Of course, no apologies or hardly even an acknowledgement of how wrong it was.

Pros

Great benefits. Everyone is friendly and helpful. They do more than just pay lip service to work life balance

Cons

Like any job, the manager is the one that can make or break the position

Pros

Great collaboration between work groups. There used to be room for advancement and diversity in the workplace.

Cons

Lack of job security for several years culminating in a layoff after nearly 3 decades with the firm. Like many places, benefits, raises, and advancement opportunities diminished over time as the firm decided to offshore roles.
