Pros

* Had Great Mentors * Originally was a flexible place to work with understanding management * Room to grow if you withstand the high turnover * Good name to have on a resume

Cons

* High turnover is burning employees out * Ever increasing workloads with no end in sight due to turnover * Upper management is not replacing employees who leave, further exacerbating the above issues. It is unacceptable to have Analyst, Assistant Vice President, Vice President, and Senior Vice President positions sitting unfilled for 4+ months and expecting the teams under them to pick up all the slack with no additional compensation or understanding. * Company is moving BACKWARDS in regards to remote working policies. Upper management is pushing for MORE time in office. Be warned.

Pros

Hybrid schedule, supportive managers, opportunities

Cons

Once you’re in, comp basically plateaus. Layoffs are happening across the board, which tends to be the full-time culture of citi. The vibe is very much “run lean” until something actually breaks, and only then consider adding headcount. You have to be intentional about protecting your work-life balance, because the implicit expectation is that you’re always on—24/7, 365—without the support of a properly staffed team.
