Pros

Pay is decent Benefits are not terrible

Cons

I have worked for multiple banks and this is by far the worst one. Their equipment is 100 years old and their systems are just as bad... slow and inefficient. Employees are whipped and work for this terrible place because they don't know anything else. The company is compliance heavy to the point of obsession. This company does not trust its employees - likely because they've been sued so many times already. Do not work here unless you want to be micromanaged. Their turnover rate is so bad they actively try to prevent it by having you sign certain documents before you're hired - won't indicate what specifically, but it's bad. It's very corporate and I should have known better when I accepted this terrible offer.

Pros

Hybrid schedule, supportive managers, opportunities

Cons

Once you’re in, comp basically plateaus. Layoffs are happening across the board, which tends to be the full-time culture of citi. The vibe is very much “run lean” until something actually breaks, and only then consider adding headcount. You have to be intentional about protecting your work-life balance, because the implicit expectation is that you’re always on—24/7, 365—without the support of a properly staffed team.
