Pros

Progressive values are globally communicated and are encouraged There is still learning involved, however limited Mobility is possible but it really depends on the relevant/appropriate opportunities available - downturns can reduce opps drastically

Cons

Pay is not commensurate to workload - really it's not worth it Toxic, sociopathic mid-level managers who don't emulate progressive values C-level managers who are out of touch with groundwork and have judgement clouded in their ivory towers The messiest, buggiest and most inefficient systems and processes i've ever had the pleasure of working with Lack of training, with training material not easily accessible if not downright poor in preparing staff to perform effectively

Pros

Hybrid schedule, supportive managers, opportunities

Cons

Once you’re in, comp basically plateaus. Layoffs are happening across the board, which tends to be the full-time culture of citi. The vibe is very much “run lean” until something actually breaks, and only then consider adding headcount. You have to be intentional about protecting your work-life balance, because the implicit expectation is that you’re always on—24/7, 365—without the support of a properly staffed team.
