Layoffs are a Blessing in Disguise - Recruiter Cielo Employee Review

Pros

The FPTO, I guess. Even though on some teams you're told not to take it or denied because the CSMs don't want to worry about coverage.

Cons

Honestly, the whole job was a downside. The client I worked for (large medical system) was HORRIBLE to the Recruitment team. The CSMs reenforced their behavior. I saw people fired for next to nothing, I was laid off myself but nobody could explain why me. They said it wasn't performance or personal, nor did they draw names out of a hat. They claimed to value transparency but never could give any reasoning. So many jobs went to Manila and we were told this was to "financially manage and benefit the company" which means, they're cheaper, more money in the executive's pockets. The first round of layoffs my team experienced we got an email days later announcing all of the additional executives that had been hired. They have no loyalty, honesty, or integrity at this company, which is a shame because people that worked there under Sue Counts spoke so highly of Cielo... In a past tense. I panicked when I was laid off due to the job market but now I'm glad it happened. With deteriorating mental health, 12-14 hour work days just to keep up, and some of the most hateful (or indifferent) leadership I have ever seen, from CSMs up to the VP, it was the biggest favor they could have done me. I caution everyone to stay far away unless you want to gain a bunch of weight from stress eating or missing your children growing up because you have to work 60-70 hours a week. They don't care about the employees, they won't ever care about the employees. I imagine this company will close in the next couple of years... Good riddance to them.

Pros

well established clients. Interesting projects; friendly coworkers

Cons

No bonus, no merit increase pay out over the last 4 years. They say they want to strenghten their customer relationships and allocate more to AI but this is the worst way to do it. If your team went above and beyond and secured continuing business the bare minimum is a small merit increase. Growth opportunities for high performing employees will bring you more business. There is nothing to look forward to aside from a paycheck and contract renewal every 6 months.
