It's always difficult to respond to reviews like this. Canon emphatically wants people who are capable of bringing in new ideas, and attitudes to/methods of achieving this vary from leader to leader. We accept that more can always be done to promote internal talent. Equally, that’s not always a solution and we certainly shouldn’t be afraid to recruit different skillsets and attitudes. Regretfully, Canon has made redundancies – possibly you’re one of them - but precisely because the world outside is very different to the world of 5/10/20 years ago: These same changes are also driving significant levels of investment, recruitment and change across EMEA.
