Pros
Autonomy in midlevel practice and point of care decision making.
Cons
I had to do the job of secretary and medical assistant in addition to NP. Profit over people was my perception of the company over the several years I worked for Minute Clinic. When the Covid vaccine became available in January 2021, CVS opted to vaccinate patients in nursing homes BEFORE vaccinating their frontline workers. We were risking our lives every day fighting Covid in our communities. They told the nurse practitioners to "find your own vaccine". That was the final straw and I left once the pandemic stabilized. I never really felt like I was a valued eployee and I was always replaceable. They have a very high turnover rate and many of my coworkers did not feel supported.
