Pros

Equal opportunities and liveable salary

Cons

A lot of middle management and supervisors roles are simulating extremely rare scenarios to write you up for rule compliance with an end goal of firing the employee. The most toxic environment I have experienced in a professional job, relationship between union and company is embarrassing, it’s similar to high school. Company is constantly hiring people as the retention rate of new hires is around 15% which tells its own story. It was difficult to find the 5 word minimum for “pros” In a nut shell this place needs to change its culture, it’s a shareholders business which takes its payment from employees

Pros

Pays decently well for first job out of college. My manager and team are very reasonable with expectations placed on new hires. Working after office hours (past 4:30pm) is extremely rare and only expected in emergencies.

Cons

Very slow and/or limited job growth potential. Promotions into middle management are almost purely based on reputation with middle managers who are largely people with previous field experience. This is very disadvantageous to direct-from-college hires like myself and even my current manager.
