Unethical, unprofessional, and poor management - Engineer CH2M Employee Review

Pros

A few great people left. Some flexibility in work schedule. Some interesting projects (nice to hear about, but you probably won't have the opportunity to work on them). If you are male and are not a minority, it is likely that CH will have big plans for you. Better than having no job?

Cons

Opportunities for growth are rare. Those that are successful within the company and are in positions to help others advance either don't care to help or don't have time to help those that are struggling with advancement issues. Decisions for promotions and access to opportunities rely heavily on favoritism. Metrics used to measure performance are extremely subjective and performance assessment methods are used to prevent advancement rather than encourage growth and development. Human resources lacks professionalism and is completely unethical in how they handle matters. Don't trust the responses on here urging you to tell your supervisor or the Guideline--it all gets back to the same HR management team that will ultimately do nothing for you. Your comments and reports might even be used against you. Poor leadership. No transparency. No apparent understanding of what the company needs to be successful (or they just don't care).

Pros

Vision and mission, benefits, interesting projects, offices...

Cons

I66 Management is ridiculous. A PM who has absolutely no idea - he's not even an engineer - and a business manager who has been continuously described by the client as incompetent and useless. It weighs heavy on me to hear the client saying " is this really ch2m?"
