Pros

benefits were decent, liked having 401k and resources due to company size

Cons

Denver - property management - bully culture. Brought concerns to director and was all blamed on the general "life is unfair". Unfair expectations for employees vs managers. Managers not expected to meet the same requirements of being in the office as employees- example. Manager said no one was allowed to work remote, but worked remote in another state all through the holidays while subordinates were required to be in the office. CBRE fired employees over not being compliant with vaccine requirements, but when I was ill with covid, HR and management would not work with me on my benefits or rights to take off and recover. I worked while being sick with covid. Management said they would support you with licenses, did not. Management said you will grow fast, did not. Same manager gave me 3 different answers on timing requirements of promotions. Management offered to help you find other positions in CBRE for growth, did not, met with shame if applied in another department.

Pros

Honestly? Not much. The vision insurance was decent, I guess. Truthfully though, there wasn't much.

Cons

Management's refusal to allow employees freedom. I routinely got praise from the client and hit the maximum score on my goals. If things weren't done "by the book", they were wrong. The health insurance was awful. Going to self-employment, one of the things that you hear is that you're going to pay a lot for health insurance. However, I'm actually paying LESS than when I worked for CBRE. When you work for CBRE, don't consider job security something that you're going to have. I saw two employees with 15+ years for the company get laid off, with zero severance and no option to transfer elsewhere, unless they wanted to uproot their families and move states for more work and a pay cut. This is the worst company that I've ever had the displeasure to work for. If you have literally any other option of employment, please consider doing that.
