Pros

The only Pros this company has is that the building is modern and parking has a covered ramp. They have one day a week for remote access if work permits.

Cons

The cons are that the managers don't deligate the work appropriately. The layers and levels of accountants and managers can make a persons head spin. Your team consists of several Accounting coordinators, Associate Accountants, Staff Accountants, Sr. Accountants, Accounting Supervisor, Accouting Manager, Assistant Controller, Controller and Sr. Controller. They all have a say and nobody knows what the other is doing or saying. Very confusing. The place is very over crowded and the many cubicles are an OPEN concept. Not too many people like that. The Supervisors and Managers sit amongst the staff. This creates an uncomfortable atmostphere. Micro-Managers are everywhere. Time off is non-existent since people are overworked. CBRE underpays employees and then has wage freezes once you get onboard. You have to like a cubicle farm with no privacy. Very difficult to find a corner to make a private phone call to a doctor or family member. Not a great place to find breathing room. The work is constant and can be overwhelming. The accounting systems are many layers and everyone has their fingers in it to mess it up. The system doesn't even post to the GL. This has to be done manually just like in the 1980's. Managers can throw employees under the bus. Demeaning towards them. They all seem overworked and not enough time to assist or help out - only scold employees and they are short with them.

Pros

They provide a wealth of learning materials to further your career.

Cons

My experience was that upper management does not understand what those in lower level positions do, and they don't take advantage of experience and knowledge of those below them to make strategic decisions.
