Pros

- Talented individual contributors who genuinely care about doing good work. - Occasional moments of collaboration despite the toxic environment.

Cons

- Leadership is inexperienced, reactive, and more focused on optics than outcomes. - Feedback is not welcomed unless it reinforces preexisting narratives. - Performance reviews are inconsistently delivered—if at all. - Psychological safety is nonexistent; retaliation for honesty is a real risk. - HR is ineffectual and lacks follow-through on basic requests. - Strategy shifts with the wind, creating instability and confusion across teams. - A culture of favoritism and performative inclusion rather than actual equity or support

Pros

Trying very hard to recapture the magic quadrant days of NCR Digital Banking, but swimming uphill at current time.

Cons

Private Equity squeeze noticeable, and new ownership seems to still be getting grasp on Financial Services Industry.

Pros

There's absolutely nothing positive about working at Candescent.

Cons

After being acquired by a private equity firm, the company has become extremely cost-conscious, often to the detriment of day-to-day operations. Employees face increasing challenges, and morale has noticeably declined. High attrition is unsurprising under these conditions. Upper management appears disconnected from the realities of the work, implementing changes to improve short-term financial results without fully considering their long-term impact, which risks harming the company’s overall performance and reputation.
