Pros

Booz Allen does an outstanding job of balance work and life. If there are competing requirements, they typically defer to the "life" portion of the equation which I feel is extremely important. Doing this allows me to focus on the work I need to do rather than the "life" issue swirling around in the background. The other thing that I feel Booz Allen does a great job at is allowing everyone to contribute equally in developing strategies, solving problems and managing programs...that doesn't mean they adopt everything that everyone says or contributes, but they listen and consider those suggestions. Many times, those suggestions are adopted. Other places I've worked for/with have basically just said to shut up and do what I tell you to do.

Cons

Because Booz Allen supports som many different clients, it can become very easy to be disconnected from the company culture. I've worked in the Pentagon and out west and during both of those situations, I did not have much contact with Booz Allen and really lost the feeling of what it meant to be part of Booz Allen. They still gave me topnotch support...my bosses were always there for me, but because I wasn't working out of one of our primary offices, it was difficult to feel like I was part of the firm. One other thing, since most of Booz Allen is located in the DC area, it seems like many of the outside the beltway offices...Atlanta, San Diego, Colorado Springs, etc...get looked down upon from time to time as not really being a "part" of Booz Allen.

Received a large raise after only being here for 4 months, they seem to appreciate my skillset

I mean not really any I can think of, lots of bureaucracy.

Benefits and professional development resources are solid.

Cons

The company culture and employee experience have changed significantly in recent years. Earlier years felt more mission-focused and employee-centered, while recent organizational shifts, government spending pressures, and increased emphasis on becoming a technology-focused company have created uncertainty for some employees. Frequent changes in priorities, restructuring, and business decisions can make job stability feel less predictable. Employees may sometimes feel disconnected from leadership, and concerns raised through HR or management channels do not always appear to result in meaningful action or transparency.
