Training in the department needs some serious improvement. All they do is place you in front of your computers for weeks where you have to watch training videos each and every day. The videos will teach you the extreme basics of your product you’re supporting, but that is all. Literally, very basic information. Depending on your product, there is a huge lack of adequate training. They tell you in the beginning that training is around six weeks, but after the first few days of week one, you’re on the computer watching hours upon hours of videos rather than management actually teaching you. Customer Support is a great department, but nothing is worse than not being properly trained for something you’re supposed to be supporting.
