Pros
The pay was decent when they paid commission (although low) on pretty much all products that we sold, now that no longer applies. My store had a great team, felt like my extended family.
Cons
Company has been rudderless, changing pay structures for the worse and treating its employees like a dispensable old rag, no matter how much of an expert you are or how awesome your numbers are. Cutting hours to a minimum, small staff per shift thus making it way more stressful. Empty lies and promises, their culture is a bunch of bull since they don't do what they say when it comes to treating their most valuable workers like "rockstars". Corporate has gone from a human side to only numbers side, even then you are never good enough. Long term view is horrible, seems like they are cutting staff to a bare minimum and hiring part time kids only (low pay, low hours and no benefits). Company layoffs has been a constant occurrence, done in the most unprofessional way. CFO turned CEO has lost sight of what makes Bestbuy great, its people. The morale has been lower and lower, makes places like BrandsmartUSA look better, that gives you an idea how bad it has become! Support for employees to deal w/ customer issues is non existent. Managers and supervisors only spew what they are fed by Corporate, the inconsistency is stressful and confusing to the staff, it changes too often and are rolled out to hastily. Bestbuy outlook is bleak, they may survive but it will be a workplace for teens only and not for career experts in their field.
