Pros
You'll learn a lot about the products with which you're involved. The pay is fairly average, but the store discounts and promotions from the product manufacturers are pretty nice.
Cons
As a product specialist, you'll quickly learn that they don't care if you sell products. The only thing they care about is selling the warranty. It's great if you know a lot about the products, but be prepared to learn how to sell extended warranties. It's about the only meaningful metric by which you'll be evaluated.
