When I started, the company had more of a family vibe as we all knew each other and as new people, we didn't feel like outsiders. However, as time went on and people were let go and mass hiring happened, the vibe I came to love from before was gone. I didn't know who most people in the company were and I would avoid the kitchen so I would not have to have awkward conversation with someone who would probably leave or get let go in the near future.
There is also no job security at Bench, when you think everything is going well and you are safe, management finds a reason to let people go, I saw it many times. Before I left, it seemed as though there was a person shockingly let go every week then we eventually got numb to the feeling and almost expected it to happen. Eventually it became a mystery when someone wasn't let go that week.
The pay underwhelming at best, given the amount of work and responsibility you have. There is also no work life balance when you have so much to do, so little time and if you fall behind, well, see the previous paragraph. Your life is expected to be Bench.
Management has its favourites and no matter what these favourites do that negatively affect their coworkers, the favourites will still be given the opportunity by management to exceed. People who speak up against management and their favourites are often told to be careful of how they proceed.
I wouldn't encourage anyone to work here, and if you have the unfortunate life of working at this company, make sure you are only there for a short time and use this time to find something better.
