Pros

Unbelievably amazing culture: Working at BTS has shown me what a good company culture should look like! From the top of the house all the way down, there is a culture of collaboration and fun at the company. Interesting work: The problems we solve for clients are really interesting. I thought creating experiential learning programs would be so rewarding. Clients come to BTS as trusted advisers and bring interesting problems that need to be solved.

Cons

Unpredictable schedules: The work is very cyclical and sometime unpredictable. Some months I don't travel at all, other months I was on the road 6-8 weeks, only home on the weekends. There is not that much transparency on base compensation.

Cons

In the 2 times I have worked for BTS I have been misled on the environment/situation I would be working in. Which has led to serious issues. The first time, I was recruited I moved my family across the country for a position that had 16 turnovers over a 2 year period due to the toxic government leadership. I was not given any heads up and was put in a seriously challenging position for both my career and financial wellbeing. The second time I took a job with BTS, I was told the contract had just been awarded for 5 years. However, once I arrived, again having moved my family across the country, I found out the contract was on a 6 month extension. There are other issues on the administrative side, and all I will recommend is to document everything. You WILL need the proof sometime down the road. All in all, I would say at times BTS was good, but mostly they operate in the morally gray to keep that top line up. Was fired over voicemail, for not working overtime (just working a standard 40 hour work week at night!) while I was recovering from the flu. No notice, no conversation, just canned. If management had taken a moment to speak with me, I could have provided email proof I had approval to take a slight step back while I and my family all recovered from the flu.
