      Pros

      Opportunities to travel to Ontario for courses meeting colleges from all over Canada. They paid for CA School of Business and Densmore Courses in order to help pass the UFE although on a promissory note over two years.

      Cons

      Long hours, with lots of scrutiny on meeting budgets on files, lack of engagement across all levels outside of Partnership. Inconsistent raises and promotions that left staff confused. Lots of office gossip and distractions from the work which you have to fight to stay away from.

      There actually are great people, but you play manager roulette.

      Cons

      BDO is notorious for promoting people who just never leave. The middle of the road, not great, not awful, people get promoted over and over again. There have been changes every 3 seconds since the ESOP. Terrible communication around change (non-existent). My manager's favorite term was "We are building the plane as we fly it". After 4 years, I was hoping to have more plane built. It was never built.
