      Pros

      Great family work culture with an amazing boss. We have lots of fun even when we're working through busy season. Benefits and pay are great. The first week I started at the company I already felt apart of our tight-knit office. Lots of flexibility and independence. Busy seasons aren't nearly as overwhelming as at big four firms. You're not just a number here.

      Cons

      Lots of hard work and late hours. During busy season, it's hard to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

      There actually are great people, but you play manager roulette.

      Cons

      BDO is notorious for promoting people who just never leave. The middle of the road, not great, not awful, people get promoted over and over again. There have been changes every 3 seconds since the ESOP. Terrible communication around change (non-existent). My manager's favorite term was "We are building the plane as we fly it". After 4 years, I was hoping to have more plane built. It was never built.
