Pros

Avaya has a great reputation and a customer base that is very loyal. Employees are generally very loyal to the company.

Cons

The senior leadership team has zero accountability and propagates this mentality down through the organization. The rank and file employees understand this and just keep their head down knowing that they will "outlast" the latest leadership initiative. The technology is seriously outdated and the company is surviving on reputation and the fact that customers have been running the technology for quite some time. Lacking strong leadership, the company hides behind "process" which significantly depresses innovation in technology, market thought leadership, and process improvement. The lack of accountability is also delaying the process of modernization. Without strong, directed and focused leadership there is no way the company can afford transitioning to modern technologies and processes that would significantly reduce development and support costs.

Pros

The company used to care about customers, but they removed all the sales people who actually visited and consulted with customers to save travel cost.

Cons

The company's newest CEO, Patrick, only cares about getting back to a Cybersecurity company as fast as possible. Can't sell the company fast enough, but buyers can't get past due diligence periods.
