A company with apparent hostility towards it's US and North American employees that is drastically shrinking itself. - Senior Software Engineer Avaya Employee Review

Pros

The money was there, and the flexibility to work from home. The people left are still top notch, even if they are incredibly overworked.

Cons

No career path or growth. No bonuses or pay raises. Quarterly staff reductions and "Enhanced Separation Packages" with yearly furloughs targeted only at the US employee base. Health benefits that were once decent and competitive are a joke now. There is no matching 401k as all matching (50% of the first 3% contributed) is tied to EBITDA numbers the company has never once met. Morale doesn't exist anywhere in the company. When the Senior Managers and Directors openly complain about how bad it is on conference calls, there is a serious problem and no one seems to care. Constant staff cuts and outsourcing has erased all loyalty to the company and put in place an "I don't care what happens to this place" attitude with the employees. Senior Management repeatedly acting like they know how to run our customers business better than they do as they force new processes and products out the door.

Pros

The company used to care about customers, but they removed all the sales people who actually visited and consulted with customers to save travel cost.

Cons

The company's newest CEO, Patrick, only cares about getting back to a Cybersecurity company as fast as possible. Can't sell the company fast enough, but buyers can't get past due diligence periods.
