Pros

Savvy new chairman. Tenacious new CEO. Highly competitive salaries. Private company, but they are the good kind of private equity owners, not the slash and burn kind. Can't believe anyone would say they are bored here. There is more than enough work to do, and most of it is challenging. 2009 has been rough, but 2010 will be better. 2011 could be excellent.

Cons

Too many consultants calling the shots but not doing any real work. 2009 saw frozen 401k match, suspended raises, probably no bonus, force reductions, other takeaways. Morale is pretty low in the U.S. right now, and too many employees have a victim mentality. There is a cultural barrier between the AT&T legacy people and the newer people who come from places like Cisco. The CEO is trying to change that, but some of his direct reports are the ones who are reinforcing it.

Pros

The company used to care about customers, but they removed all the sales people who actually visited and consulted with customers to save travel cost.

Cons

The company's newest CEO, Patrick, only cares about getting back to a Cybersecurity company as fast as possible. Can't sell the company fast enough, but buyers can't get past due diligence periods.
