Pros

To get your foot in the door in the hope of being able to move to another position within the company for growth

Cons

Micro-management of everything that you do from lunch hour to customer calls to asking questions. Team Leaders are only protective of their "favorites". Treat employees like cattle. Mandatory overtime during peak season & expected to work from 52 to 70 hours per week,Minimal investment in people or systems. Off-shoring has ruined internal support. Make sure you are happy with your starting salary, because raises will be underwhelming,There is no "Work- Life Balance". Lunch is only 30 minutes and the the break room microwaves are usually dirty and/or they do not work. Management wants a 2 week notice before allowing paid time off, otherwise you are penalized. do not want to pay you the bonus for making salesagent kept pushing back pay out dates on top of them not fixing glitches with agents getting credit for their sales.they do not keep honor original payment incentive they change after you have made sells .

Pros

Great role to transition into the insurance industry. Many resources and opportunities to expand technical knowledge. Client visits are great if you like to travel. Lucky to have a manager who doesn’t micromanage. If you’re organized, driven, and good at communicating you’ll do great.

Cons

Can be stressful at times around busy renewal cycles. Travel often depending on industry and clients.
