Pros
Amgen has excellent benefits. Provided excellent medical benefits and even paid for my undergrad degree. The pace is fast and exciting. Be ready to work hard and be compensated well.
Cons
Even though I worked there for 14 years, I never really felt appreciated for my dedication and hard work. When Kevin Shear became our CEO we became numbers instead of names. It was a hugh culture shock. Unfortunately, upper management doesn't seem to recognize when departmental managers are only looking out for themselves. It hurts moral and decreases productivity.
