Pros

In my experience, Allstate has been very supportive of employee's registering for training, and until the economy went to the toilet, attending conferences.

Cons

Extremely fractured culture, where different departments have entirely different attitudes and business norms. In the past few years, every year there is a new initiative to remake the company, only to be forgotten and then overshadowed by next year's initiative. Sometime too political, promotions based not on experience or competency, but political gamesmanship. And then they wonder why their having so many problems!

Pros

Consistent, busy, and you get to help people through tough situations and educate others on what it means to be protective. I am set schedule M-F and off on weekends.

Cons

Prices are a bit higher, and depending on how big your office is, you will be on the phone all day and feel drained afterwards.
