great work life balance! tons of flexibility as to when and where you work as long as your work gets done. tons of development opportunities through online portals and employee resource groups. for a insurance company, Allstate is actively investing and thinking of the next big things, innovation is a major priority outside of home and auto. TONS of opportunities around the company, not just within your area of responsibility. one of the few places with a NICE pension plan.
Cons
very apparent HR lacks strategy. there are a lot of tenured middle management leaders that prevent the necessary changes from happening faster. there is VERY little ethnic diversity in the C-suite. (although diversity remains a consistent talking point of the CEO) . leadership is trying to work more "horizontally" but they are struggling. career progression can be political around who you know.
