Pros
Training and exposure to process and methodology. Well run and decent focus on both profitability for the company and the right outcome for the client. Chance to work in global environment - can also mean the global workforce and hours. Performance management process is done nicely - competitive but also tries to be fair. Ensures people complete reviews.
Cons
a lot of travel required. push toward outsourcing stifles creativity and the reason many people go into "consulting." Politics of course. Management is very risk averse. The think straight / talk straight manta of Andersen Consulting is completely gone. Migration toward solution workforce.
