Accenture really tries to practice what they preach (all these best practices) and the global network is truly impressive with people who are willing to help you in a heartbeat.
I loved having alot of opportunities to do and learn more outside of core consulting projects - helping to build the local Accenture community, getting involved in asset development, learning development, practice operations, recruitment, business development...etc.
The Kx (knowledge exchange) was the best thing ever - so much thought capital that can be accessed to help enhance our thinking.
Dedication and long hours comes hand in hand with strategic consulting projects - while I don't regret all the hours put in to excel quickly in the formative years of my career (I knew what I signed up for and took full advantage of it), work/life harmony was difficult but when you enjoy the people you work with and the work you're doing, work and life kinda meld together nicely.
Advice to Management
Keep focusing on helping people succeed and practicing positive leadership. Be flexible in making decisions that help build local skills and optimize chargeability, even if we are a tad short on target CCI.
