Typical consultancy that pays little and does not value employees - Test Engineer Accenture Employee Review

Pros

It's really easy to get hired so it is an option if you are either desperate for a job or a fresh graduate with no options. The tasks are so superficial that you can be hired and able to do the job if you possess a pair of hands and eyes.

Cons

- The projects are mostly repetitive mundane work that the customers do not want to do themselves, or try to cut down labor costs (outsourcing). - You can learn about the industry/businesses from the job, but not build actual expertise. A lot of "experts" in the company are just people who stayed for a long time from when it was small, and good luck getting any answer to your questions if you want to learn more. - Salary is way below market average, no performane bonus, no christmas money, no benefits. Easy to see how replaceable you are. - No feedback, no communication from managers the whole time; then before the end of my probation period they suddenly terminated my contract and obviously, no official reasons were given.

Pros

There are a lot of pros working for Accenutre. They have great career opportunities, a never ending supply of interesting work, competitive compensation, wonderful benefits, great people, wonderful training programs, a tremendous number of brilliant professionals in their fields ready to help, and great core values.

Cons

This is not an opportunity for those that do not want to work. At Accenture everyone has a load of work to do and often times under very tight customer time lines. It is a challenge that I enjoy but many might find it stressful.
