Pros
Good benefits, breadth of opportunities.
Cons
As with so many consulting firms, your experience depends on your project and your manager. During my time with Accenture, I got stuck on a lousy project (helpdesk support) and a great project (developing software for a client). On the first project, there was no planned timeline to get me out of there (even though I was told that it was a temporary assignment). When I was no longer needed my manager refused to let me transfer. I basically had to complain a lot and burn bridges in order to get out of there. I finally landed a great project with a great manager, and the remaining two years at Accenture were the best of my career to date. Unfortunately, that project had to end, and my only alternative was to transfer over to a big project where I would most likely be lost in the shuffle. So I left. It's definitely a good place for someone just starting their career, but if you want to settle down, the life of a consultant gets old very quickly.
