Pros

Accenture's enormous range of expertise and breadth of services is one of my favorite things about the firm. Consultants have the opportunity to work in almost any industry and impact nearly every aspect of business, from corporate strategy and digital strategy to operations, change management, and leadership development. I'm always learning something new because Accenture encourages its people to be entrepreneurial; consultants all over the planet are constantly pushing the boundaries of business services in areas in which they have a unique interest or passion. It's fun to work for a firm that enables me to go to a client to help them totally rethink a problem and then say "look what we can do next" and take them through the solution to change their business.

Cons

Our Management Consulting practice is one of the largest in the world, and we strive to expand our footprint every day, but it's not always easy to find projects in one's area of interest. The double-edged sword of being an entrepreneurial place where you can create your own destiny is that you often really do have to create your own path in order to have an enjoyable career here. We excel at a number of things, specifically operations and change management, but it can feel like Strategy gets the short end of the stick at times. Hopefully that's changing given our new focus on Accenture Strategy as a key part of the business.

Pros

Great way to get experience working with social media companies, learned a lot about politics, news, advertising, social media company, marketing, job postings and tech sales. In the project I was part of I learned a lot about the world. Most of my bosses were genuinely amazing but I did cycle through a good few. You learn a lot about working with fortune 100 clients. The consultants are nice to work with. You get experience training people, working with a wide variety of teams. Pretty good pay for my experience at the time, the hiring team is very nice and the hiring process was easy. Also I was given a therapist due to the nature of the work. Also got an hour of paid wellness, which was nice but I think that just extended the workday by one hour for no real reason. It does feel like important and purposeful work.

Cons

The project I was assigned to was not as traumatic as some other ones thankfully. But you see a lot of things, you see how crazy the world and the internet can be, which in these times can be hard to watch. I didn't get an annual raise.

Pros

There are a lot of pros working for Accenutre. They have great career opportunities, a never ending supply of interesting work, competitive compensation, wonderful benefits, great people, wonderful training programs, a tremendous number of brilliant professionals in their fields ready to help, and great core values.

Cons

This is not an opportunity for those that do not want to work. At Accenture everyone has a load of work to do and often times under very tight customer time lines. It is a challenge that I enjoy but many might find it stressful.
