Pros
Patient trainers available. Coaching for people struggling in their positions. Being a part of a Union for non-management posititions 12+ strikes and you are out. It is hard to actually get fired. Good amount of vacation time depending on your position
Cons
Mostly lateral movements as opposed to working your way up. General apathy runs rampant and affects productivity. There are no attempts at being competitive with competitors' salaries. Benefits for management employees are very, very expensive. Most perks are being dissolved such as: employee discounts, general housekeeping, common courtesies. One of the most stressful positions an employee can ever hold.
