      Pros

      I was well trained, my duties were always explained to me. I was never asked to do anything beyond my capabilities without proper training.

      Cons

      The biggest downsides to working at Ceradyne is the heat in the summer, the cold in the winter and the general dirtiness, but it is a factory and Ceradyne always tried to improve condition.

      Good pay, benefits, and time off

      Cons

      The IT org is constantly going through layoffs. The work is going to managed service providers in India. The whole process is clown shoes. They are letting people go that have been here for 20+ years that have so much knowledge and expect to transfer it over to workers who are extremely siloed, who might not even be around in 6 months(the retention rate for this particular MSP is abysmal). These workers are not even dedicated to 3M, they have many other projects. I’m concerned for 3M’s IT future. Walking over dollars to pick up pennies
