I worked at Cymer full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Many people to become friend with

    Cons

Almost everything is a disaster at Cymer. Management, pay, work-life balance, being valued, job security, etc. They are the worst with women. Only about 5% of their scientists are women. They sometimes mistake women scientists with janitors in their clean room. Very offensive environment. Run away if you are offered a job at Cymer.

    Advice to Management

    You are hopeless.

I have been working at Cymer full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Money. Cutting edge technolgy, Flat structure in EUV at least.

    Cons

DUV is still very hierarchical with narrow job functions.

    Advice to Management

Make DUV finally drink the Kool-Aid and get in line w the ASML way of work. An find another Bob Akins (as if ) or at least someone who can inspire that level of dedication.

I worked at Cymer full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Salary was high compared to other industries. Majority of colleagues were intelligent, and easy to work with (for the most part).

    Cons

Easily the most dysfunctional environment I've ever worked in. The only thing resembling a healthy culture at Cymer resides in the break room refrigerators. Within a year or two of the ASML acquisition, Cymer lost everything that once made it great. Top talent left in swarms, which inauspiciously included many of the best and brightest leaders in the company. What remained (and perhaps what still remains) is a... cesspool of unenthusiastic employees that have gone through hell to remain in a company that's being actively cannibalized by the company that purchased it.
