Upper Management Doesn't Have a Clue What's Going On

Good if you don't wish to grow. Good place to explore tech, one developer to two micro service.

Cons

Upper management is confused. The company has no direction, layoffs happens every 2 years or so, people disappear for performance reasons. Product is controlled by tech person. Product lacks direction, tech is celebrated, product is secondary. More micro services than customers.

There are a lot of genuinely nice and talented people working here, especially among the lower teams. Many colleagues try to support each other despite the difficult environment.

Cons

Working at CoverWallet was one of the most disappointing professional experiences I’ve had. The company culture is toxic from the top down — the higher the position, the lower the level of competence, respect, and basic communication skills you can expect. Favoritism and nepotism are rampant, and merit means little. Management is rude, unapproachable, and often creates a stressful, mentally draining environment. I personally witnessed several engineers leave due to burnout and mental health struggles. Sadly, it’s easy to understand why — working here can seriously affect your well-being. If you care about your professional growth and mental health, stay far away.
