Pros

If you live in Sevilla, you learn how the startup world works.

Cons

Employees in Sevilla are not threated so well as USA employees. There is a set of employees that are better treated that the remaining low rank employees. Bitnami use the advantages they give these top rank employees to sell the company. They expect you work long hours setting up impossible deadlines. If you are not up to the task it's not because their deadlines, it's because you are not good. Management expects you to work as if you are the owner of the company for a very low salary and advantages designed to keep you more time at work.

Pros

You can get a global vision about startups if you have not worked for any of them before. Catered lunches

Cons

This is not a good place to grow in both personal and professional aspects. Growing as a developer is a difficult task. If you are a junior-mid developer, you will probably work on a team where there is already a huge number of juniors developers so you don’t receive mentoring at all. Furthermore, when you start to work on this team, you should think on spending the rest of your days there performing very humdrum tasks with a lot of pressure (with a low salary). On the personal side, this is not a company where managers or high-rank people care about your feelings or opinions so you will find many unhappy and unmotivated people there.

Pros

International distributed team. If you have just finished college, you get a good vision of how startups work nowadays.

Cons

There are very few opportunities to grow as a developer. Almost all of the team is composed by juniors without any previous experience so you get no guidance at all. Most of the tasks are really repetitive and there is no room for creativity. You are paid as an average junior developer in the city (which is very low) but they will be treated as senior since your first day (responsibilities included). There are five values that you will hear "ad infitum" since your very beginning but no one is going to respect them (the higher you rank is, the more you can forget about them). Managers in general (there are some exceptions) won't care about you or how you feel with your work, the only thing important to them is that the job is done right in time. There is quite a big difference in how employees are treated in SF and Seville offices.
