Pros

- Great people and awesome HR - Company has a great competitive product and stacks up really well against the competition. Its probably the best product in it's industry/niche. - Good compensation and additional payouts - Growing team with a high ceiling - Social events were always a blast - Both founders Joe & Blake were great. Hands on and worked really hard

Cons

Unfortunately during my time upper management made a really bad hiring decision to invest in a CMO that was horrible. He ruined the culture, the fun, and the heart of why I chose to work here. It become a content factory of being micro-managed. The turnover started to happen immediately, either with people that were hired/fired in short order, or even for the mature members of the team. This lead to several people across the business leaving due to Jacob. It's sad to see such an awesome team & brand get hurt by one hiring choice. But the senior leadership team decided to keep their new CMO as opposed to listen to what their team was saying.

I appreciate your feedback and I do understand where you are coming from. We value employee feedback on every level including feedback to our CMO. We are strong believers in finding the right people for the right seat and when that isn't the case, it usually leads to some discomfort. In transitioning from a small startup team to a rapidly scaling business, it's natural to have some rocky transitions. However, we have been very successful in growing a healthy and happy team with a strong focus on developing a great company culture. This has helped us grow form 10 people in 2020 to over 70 today!

Pros

Employees are generally competent, there is flexibility around remote work, and work–life balance varies by role.

Cons

• Leadership has overseen significant growth, but appears insulated from day-to-day challenges. Decision-making can feel centralized, with a smaller in-office group having outsized influence compared to the largely remote workforce. • Company priorities shift frequently, often in response to leadership’s latest strategic focus (often poorly aligned with customer needs), which can make execution and planning more difficult for teams. • Product features are often released before they are ready, leaving customer facing roles in a position to support/sell incomplete features. • Bonus attainment has been inconsistent over the past year, and a recent internal memo from executive leadership regarding performance and expectations came across as blaming the employees for lack of urgency and discipline. • Compensation for customer-facing roles is below market when compared to similar positions at other companies, which can make hiring and retention more challenging.

Pros

Remote with little pressure to attend the tiny office they keep around.

Cons

This is where careers go to die. The only value you have is being able to blindly follow c-suite orders and pretend that you like it. Micromanagement from the top is a way of life here. Good or bad decisions don't matter, just do as they say. Continuous finger-pointing and blame from the top down. No one is happy at ground level. They just fake it when certain people are around. It makes for long, exhausting days even while remote. Pivots on everything every few months. A half-baked order falls from above that everyone clearly sees is yet another bad move. Everyone scrambles to do it... or else, then has to deal with the fallout later.
