Unprofessional Atmosphere, Product is Great

Pros

You have the opportunity to work with higher education. It is also easy to talk positively about the product, as it is very good. Working from home would appear to give flexibility, but it depends on your position.

Cons

Management does not understand how to work with employees. Job titles and responsibilities constantly change and inexperienced family members are brought in to manage. Expectations are unreasonable, as is the work load. There is no structured pay scale and employee issues are not addressed. There is no such thing as "done for the day", and change of travels or meetings are scheduled at the very last minute.

Failure of planning

Pros

Work at home, hours are flexible based on position

Cons

Standards were ambiguous at best with obtusely cryptic statements being the norm. Projects are assigned and are expected to be completed within a time frame that does not correspond to the work load. Senior Management inexperience shows with lack of attention to structure or definition of positions, work expectations, employee issue resolution, or an ability to accept even the mildest positive criticism. Pay for position is below industry standards and raises are inconsistent, late, and shockingly small.

Pros

- Great Benefits - Good Pay - Work From Home

Cons

- Disorganized management within Development Team - Directions were provided in piece meal between various formats ie. Emails, phone calls, various time tracking programs etc. - Not a true Agile team - Development leads are arrogant and not open to suggestions - The product you work on is boring and unless you have passion for education prepare to be bored. - Development Team is dead set on Microsoft Technologies even if a competing technology is a better choice for the task at hand.
