      Toxic Management and Questionable Business Practices

      Pros

      It's a job and employer that promotes work-life balance. Great optics.

      Cons

      They don't adequately compensate their employees and you will find out what Alps work-life balance really means. Management is toxic and are gatekeepers. Questionable business practices including the use of an illegal pricing algorithm which would greatly interest insurance regulators.

      interesting industry, no day is the same

      Cons

      lack of direction from management, training is subpar, lot of efforts to "increase efficiency" but at the expense of quality underwriting. almost like the company would like to be completely automated, so future at the company feels unstable. No recognition for hard work, and the perks are stripped away. a few years ago to now is very different, "perks" are so they can pat themselves on the back, not actually change. Anonymous surveys are not anonymous by department, and with small departments it's obvious, so it's not authentic. Other companies offering 20k+ more per year.
